Shuǐ Shào （If splash as your whistle） (2023-）
水哨 Shuǐ Shào (If Splash as your Whistle) is an artist project founded in 2023 by Xinyu and Yuqing. Using moving images as a medium for sharing and connection, it brings together the voices and narratives of queer/diasporic individuals, shaping a collective memoir for each participant. 水哨 Shuǐ Shào explores the intersection of diverse sounds, images, and sensations—like sound waves travelling underwater, splashes breaking the surface, and dialects echoing along the shoreline.
So far, the program has hosted three events exploring the connection between the queer experience and mourning, world building.
